To successfully complete the Lifeguard Training course, you must attend every class, participate in all skill sessions/drills, activities and scenarios, demonstrate competency is all required skills and scenarios, and pass the final written exam with a minimumĬlass dates are as follows 4/10, 4/12, 4/17, 4/19, 4/24, 4/26, 5/1,5/3 Enrollment also requires passing a prerequisite skills evaluation, which isscheduled for Monday, April 9, 7:30pm. The goal of the training is to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to be an effective and responsible lifeguard.Įnrollment requires that you be at least 16 years old before the last scheduled classsession. The purpose of the SAI StarGuard training program includes prevention, surveillance, response and rescue, workplace environment skill in addition to the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) CPR Pro, Basic First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens training, the relief of choking adult, child and infants and first aid emergency skills. All pools and the immediate areas will remain closed for 30 minutes past the last visible lightning strike or thunder.
